This novel: 490
Total: 1,531
Title: Hunger.
Author: Michael Grant
Publisher: HarperTeen 2009
Rating: 4

I kept a note-card of things that bothered me/ what I liked about the book (which I do for most books). Here is what it says:

Good: Perdido Beach: Sam, Jack?, Albert, Brianna, Orc/Charles, Hunter, Harry, Charlie, Zil, Mary, Lana, Edilio, Dekka, Brittany, Duck, Dahra.
Evil: Coates Acadamy "Fear Foctory": Caine, Drake, Diana, Bug, Panda, Orsay?, Jack?
(Characters were crossed off when they died.)

Powers: Sam- Green heat hands, Orc- Rock, Hunter- Microwave, Brianna- "The Breeze", Lana- Healer, Caine- Telekinetic, Drake- Arm, Bug- Camoflouge, Orsay- Dream reading, Duck- Drill/fly.

"The Human Crew": Zill, Lance, Antoine, Turk, Hank, Lisa, etc.
Mary- Anorexic/Bullemic "Mother Mary"
Chapter 37: noNoNONONO Chills.
"Superpowers don't always make you a superhero."
I have never been so.... scared while reading a book.
SHIT! Not Petey! What is your problem?!

Needless to say, this book was fantastic.

Book 4: The Freedom Writers Diary

This novel: 277
Total: 941
Title: The Freedom Writers Diary
Author: The Freedom Writers
Publisher: Broadway Books 1999
Rating:3.5

This book is actual diary entries by a class in New York. The students were lower class, usually ethnic, and looked down upon by their other classmates. They help spread tolerance throughout the world in various ways throughout the novel.

Book 3: Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton.

This novel: 77 (Although it feels like quite a bit more.)
Total: 664
Title: Ethan Frome
Author: Edith Wharton
Publisher: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1991.
Rating: 2.5

The year has not started out well, book wise.
Etan Frome is bout a man who is helplessly in love with a woman- Mattie. Mattie is Zeena's -Ethan's wife- young cousin. She came to help her sickly cousin in her time of need. *SPOILERS* Eventually, Mattie and Ethan decide to commit suicide by sledding into an Elm tree. This plan backfire's and the couple is left helpless and crippled. Zeena is left to take care of the two. Sucks to be Zeena.

Book 2:The Crucible by Arthur Miller.

This novel: 91
Total: 587
Title: The Crucible
Author: Arthur Miller
Publisher: Dramatists Play Service Inc. (Along with a bunch of others, I'm sure.) (c)1952
Rating: 3

*Disclaimer: I know this is a play, not a novel. Calm down.

We did this play for drama club, so I've read it about one hundred times. I will only count one.
The plot line is pretty flat-lined. Proctor and Abigail have known eachother and everyone dies.
Also, Abigail turns out to be a prostitute, which is not -but should be- mentioned in the play.
Terribly written review is terrible.

Book 1: Twilight by Stephanie Myer.

This novel: 496
Total: 496
Twilight, yeah. Let's just say this: it was absolutely terrible. that is all.

Happy New Year!

This year is going to be a bit different.
Last year it was all about the number of books. This year, it page numbers.
My goal is 10,000 pages. Stick with me; this'll be interesting!
